It all started when…

The Healing Hearts Foundation was established in 2017 by Nikki R. Miller and tentatively will launch in 2024 with a mission of reaching

out to youth who may have been or are currently being sexually abused. Nikki

knows about being molested first hand as she herself was a victim in her childhood; however, has

been able to forgive those family members involved and is able to talk about it today and help others

become free of any guilt, shame and hurt. Child sexual abuse is rarely discussed due to the fact that

the abusers are usually really close to the victims, provoking an inward silence that may be carried by

victims for years in order not to cause conflict or disruption within families, and/or fear of not being

believed.

It is important to really listen to children when they state they have been abused or molested. It

should not be taken lightly and must be addressed accordingly to the appropriate authorities. The

Healing Hearts Foundation will serve as a mechanism of comfort for youth to be heard and helped in

obtaining freedom from their hurt, by way of mentoring, counseling, community service and showing

these youth the love of Christ.
